I’m also in search of help. I am a Marshall from Milboro, Va of Bath county Va. my great grandmother was Ida C Keller, she was wife of Charles W. Keller, and the daughter of Lula Ailstock. My Grandma left me a note telling me that my great great grandmother died at an early age, she was of Indian decent and that her father was an Indian Chief or her Grandfather was a Cherokee Chief. My Grandfather thought it was her great grandfather who was Chief. I found Absolem Ailstock and Nancy J Ailstock were her parents. Was Absolem Ailstock of Bath County an Indian?
