I’m just coming across this site and want to say thank you to all for the amazing information as I dive into exploring my family and heritage
Samuel Tilden Adkins was my GG, my Grandfather was named after Tilden’s older brother, Jesse Thurman. There have since been 3 other Jesse Thurmans in our family.
Also, my dad told me a story about Samuel Tilden’s older sister Sarah. She was married at age 13, not sure where or to whom.
I am also curious about the connection between Samuel Seaton and John Morgan. Nobody in my family had known who Samuel Seaton’s parents were. Was there a will, obituary or other papers showing this connection?
