I am family through Wayne, WV where most of my family lives. Little berry and Little berry Jr. were real people who are my family. My aunt who spoke about our relative Cain Adkins when a statue was erected. A victim of the Hatfield’s during that time in VA and WV’s history. I was born in 1981 and am so grateful for your work. I was curious and wanted to know how he ended up marrying Blue Sky whose father was Chief Cornstalk of the Shawnee. Fascinating he served in the Revolutionary War. I was curious how they ended up in Virginia. I had no idea about the first Mary and had thought it just the two of them. I do know that Chief Cornstalk was killed outside of Point Pleasant and they say he’s the Mothman to the tourists possibly. I do know that he was the son of a chief and was tragically killed on his way to peace talks.
