In anyone’s research here, have you come upon an Isom (or Isham) Adkins Slone or Mary Alice Sizemore? Mary is Isom (Isham’s) mother according to some and Parker V. Adkins is supposed to be his father or grandfather. Isom (Isham) was born 1795/96 in Patrick Co. Va. Died aug. 15. 1855 in Floyd Co. Ky. Buried in Knott Co. Ky. There is a TON of controversy/rumor surrounding Mary Alice, and she may or may not be his biological mother, but she did raise him as her son and he took the name Slone when Mary married a Slone.
