For those having Adkins relatives originating in Elliott County (or Morgan County) Kentucky, be aware that the borders around Elliott County changed in the 1800s. In fact, Elliott County was created in the first half of the 19th century, as I recall. I will have to dig to find that info in some books I have, if one of you has not already run across it on the web. My relatives originated in Elliott County, but I have been having trouble tracing them because my ggrandmother, Cussida Adkins, was unmarried. She had a daughter, Mollie Adkins, and a son, Gideon H.
