Dear Sheila, In answering your question re: Where my parents were married? They were married in Corvallis, Oregon. It was my Mother, Edda Lea, that found Grandpa Reed’s Kentucky brother for him. That being my Uncle Joe. She, also found my Grandma Reed’s brother for him. My brother, Edward Joseph Reed was named after Uncle Joe Reed.I, my sister, Sue Ellen and brother Joe, spent a lot of time with Grandpa and Grandma Reed. The last time I seen my Grandpa alive, was when I went to his home at Camp Adair and brought him up to my home in Lebanon, Oregon. We had a wonderful day together. He enjoyed my garden and my horses. I had a little Paint filly in for training and he told me that would have been his mother’s favorite. I wrote in my journal that night. I just read it again. If you would like me to copy it and E-mail or send it to you, I would be happy to do so. I did get to see my Aunt Anna a few years back. When I worked for the newspaper in Albany, Oregon: I would visit my Aunt Goldie and take her food. She lived a lone. Grandpa Reed told me that she reminded him of his Mother. He loved his Mother. I will not go on and on here, but, as I said; I would be glad to share my memories of Grandma and Grandpa Reed. Dori is doing the Reed’s. I am mostly interested at this date with the Native American connection. Grandpa Reed always told us kids, that his Mother was a Cherokee Princess. I always thought he was saying, “she was wonderful”.
Thank you for replying so quickly and giving me the info. I still believe that the John Franklin Reed’s were of Irish decent, also.

Sincerely,
Wanda Wood
