OK,
I have pulled the Rev War pension applications for Benjamin Wages,
Peter Sullivan and Alexander Montgomery.

Peter Sullivan says he enter into the War in 1777 in New Jersey.

Benjamin Wages say he was in the army of William Washington.

Alexander Montgomery says he entered into the War in 1777 from
Washington County, Virginia under Captain Read.

In a supporting statement by Sullivan he tells that he saw Montgomery
sign up.

In a supporting statement Wagers says he meet Montgomery while
in service.

What is known, is that Alexander Montgomery signed for 5 years, while
living at the home of his father. It is said that his brother had to walk home
and tell the parents.
It is said that Alexander Montgomery signed up under Captain Nathan Reid.

Captain Nathan Read was in the command under Abraham Buford whom
was in the battle at Waxhaws South Carolina.

I will now acknowledge that I was wrong about this Alexander Montgomery,
but I will stand and write that I do not understand how Sullivan made it from
New Jersey in 1777 to Washington County, Virginia in 1777 to watch
Montgomery sign up?

Mike
