I have recently received a document from Roscoe Montgomery, that list the children of John & Barbara Harris Montgomery, as, 1. Elizabeth; 2. Susanna; 3. Nathaniel; 4. John; 5. Samuel Walker; 6. William; 7. Jane; 8. Margarit (the i is clear, but). This document was an application for land in Peoria County, Illinois, 3 July 1845. There is no mention of a “Mattie”, on this application. Any thoughts, anyone? I want to thank Mike Shuman with helping me search for my ancestors, as well as, Roscoe.
