Shelia, I guess we need more help than I thought! I know for certain that my grandmother Lucille B. Adkins (1926-1979) was the d/o of Andrew J “Drew/Drue” Adkins (1892-1962) married to Ellen Vina Porter (1889 – 1967). Andrew’s death cert lists father as Frank and mother as Catherine Salyers. I have the death cert for Catherine “Kate”. There is a 1900 census that lists a Catherine and Andrew F Adkins in Falls of Blaine, Lawrence, Kentucky, with a Andrew Adkins who is listed as 8yrs old. And a 1910 census from Fallsburg, Lawrence, Kentucky with Catherine, Andrew F and Andrew at 18yrs old. And then a 1920 census (dated 1-9-1920) that lists a Catherine Adknis as widow in Louisa, Lawrence, Kentucky. We think this is our Andrew “Drew” Adkins. Leading us to believe that his father is a Andrew F Adkins. And last we thought this Andrew F Adkins died in Lawrence Kentucky, 22 Dec 1921. As this is where our Andrew “Drew” is settled at…. And then we run into a wall. Any help you can give or direction you can point us into is greatly appreciated.
