Through the death records is how I found her name. She was always listed as “Cherokee Indian Maiden,” but his death record gave her name.
The story goes, that 1st wife Nancy Carter Robertson/Robinson and her next door neighbor Nancy Runyon, were good/best friends, when the first wife Nancy died young, he then took the neighbor Nancy Runyon as his second wife.
I thought this was listed here in the comment section, I know its here on the blog under his family tree, it is listed on my tree at Ancestry and I do apologize for the confusion. I hope this helps.
