Zara Niemeyer,
Michael Montgomery, had his estate settled in Washington Co. Va. starting in 1777.
His first Administrator was named James Montgomery.
His second Administrator/Administrix was named Mary Montgomery.
His third administrator was named Samuel Montgomery.

IN 1776, this Michael with wife Mary sold lands on Corbin’s Creek branch of Rockfish river to Samuel and Mary Woods.

In 1768, Michael Montgomery mentioned his wife Margaret and sons named James, John , Michael and Thomas.

As it turns out, James Montgomery first ADM to this Estate in 1777 was a brother to this Michael, and that Mary Montgomery the 2nd ADM was the wife to this Michael. Then the third ADM was named Samuel and he was a son of this Michael and Mary. This Samuel had to be 21 when he took on the duties to ADM his fathers Estate.
This Samuel Montgomery is also found to have been in the Battle at King’s Mountain on Oct. 7, 1780

In 1742, Michael Montgomery Sr. with one of his children were in court in Lancaster Co. Pa. and told that they were living near Mt. Joy.
A year before this court date Michael Montgomery Sr. had a preacher preach a sermon over one of his children that was being buried. This Preacher was part of the 1742 court case. (so I am told)
Sons of Michael Sr. as:
James lived below Abingdon Va. by 1776, and was a Captain during the Rev War. He removed to Fayette Co. KY about 1795. He died there by 1808.
Thomas lived southeasterly of Abingdon Va. by 1772. He there by 1803 leaving a LW&T. He was at King’s Mountain.
John removed from Amherst Co to Burke Co. NC. by 1777 and was a known Captain of militia in 1777. We do not know where he died nor the name of his wife. Haplogroup J2.
