Aaron and other Robertson/Robinson/Roberson Researchers,
First welcome to the madness! You indicated that you are new to genealogy research. I can identify since after three to four years, I still feel like a rookie!
I cannot shed any light on your particular branch of the Robertson clan. Above you will see several postings from me (See # 39, 42, 49 and others) seeking help on my own dead end. My GGGrandfather was Samuel Robertson b., 1803 in Big Shanty (now Acworth) GA. Like you, I have multiple suspects as his parents but NO PROVEN parents. However, as they say, “misery does love company” and, I have been Blessed to find two third cousins who share the same dead end but have taught me a great deal about G. Research and have provided some family details I did not know.
So my “Take Away” for you is that I hope you too find some wonderful and totally unexpected help from some of the very gifted and well informed Robertson researchers out there. Sheila has also Blessed us by providing this wonderful forum for sharing knowledge and for seeking help from others.
Take advantage of it and may you soon find the “key” to get past your “sticking point”. GOOD LUCK AARON! — Dan H. Robertson.
