Sherwood is the natural son of the 1689 William V. The Mullins-Sloan-Hall folks are descended from Sherwood. I thought the Coleman mentioned in the will indicates, to me, that the 1760 William followed in his Uncle Sherwood’s footsteps. Makes me wonder if the Adkins men of that era could have been randy roosters visiting the neighbors henhouses.
