Comment on Alexander Montgomery 1740-1840 by Mike Shuman

Kay Anderson,

I have been away for sometime now, but must address some of the words
you have used.

Are you really asking me to except that Alexander Montgomery born 1762
was at Boonesborough in 1775, and his brother John born 1764 also in
Boonesborough in 1775?

One was 11 years old while the other was only 9?

Come-on now.

You have also said these two have been entered on a list of those with
Daniel Boone in 1775.

See, these two boys, Alex and John were sons of Alex and Martha, but the
real story is that they were cousins to the Alex whom died in Sept. 1778 and
to John whom died March 1780.
Meaning that Alex whom married Martha Walker was a younger brother
to William Montgomery Sr. whom lived on Carpenters Creek branch of
Green River in Kentucky until he died in March 1780.
