There was actually a very large Adkins family history book printed years ago.It traced the family’s history and descendants down to modern times.My name is Claud Daniel Smith and I am listed in the book as a descendant of Mary Adkins,along with a rather long genealogical number.I was born and raised in Wayne county,W.V. and my grandmother on my mother’s side (Lola “Adkins”Sansom)was a “double” Adkins.my mother and uncle both had copies of this book,but both are deceased now and I now am not sure what happened to their copies.Would love to have a copy of my own.I know the book was printed with a limited number of copies.As I stated earlier it was a very large book about four inches thick,with a blue hardback cover,with the title Adkin’s family Wayne county and a reference to Sussex county,England.Will try to contact my uncle’s widow to try to track down his copy.In a side note my name was erroneously listed as Claud Denvil Smith.In looking through this webpage I see no reference to this book,would like to hear from someone who is aware of it.
